The newsletter for the Rabaul & Montevideo Maru group, Memorial News, is now included in a dedicated section of the quarterly journal of the Papua New Guinea Association of Australia (PNGAA) which is titled PNG Kundu. The monthly newsletters of the then Rabaul and Montevideo Maru Society from 2009 – 2012, when the Rabaul and Montevideo Maru Memorial was dedicated, are located under the ‘Newsletters’ menu tab on this website.
Memorial News, as part of PNG Kundu, has latest news, information about events and tributes to the men to honour their sacrifice.
Memorial News also provides a forum where members can interact sharing their memorabilia. It provides a link to the history and anecdotes of the collective experiences of members and friends and contributes to a greater understanding of this significant part of our Australian history.
